BRIEF HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL

 
  The idea of establishing a branch for 'St. Aloysius Senior Secondary School' at Polipathar, Jabalpur was originated from the growing demand by the people of the locality for a quality education from St. Aloysius Senior Secondary School. Therefore, the land was purchased at Polipathar on 29th November 2000. Fr. George P.A. was appointed to develop the place on 10th April 2001. The planning began for the establishment of a school at Polipathar and the first admission were taken in Feb. 2002 in L.K.G., U.K.G. and class I numbering almost 180 boys and girls. St. Aloysius School, Polipathar was founded on 2nd July 2002. The inaugural function was held at St. Aloysius Sr. Sec. School Sadar, Jabalpur. Rt. Rev. Bishop Gerald Almeida, Bishop of Jabalpur blessed the Granite plate.  
     
   
  The construction work of this school was taken up in the month of March 2002. Due to delay in the construction, the school was functioning from St. Aloysius Sr. Sec. School Campus Sadar, Jabalpur. On 2nd December 2002 the school was shifted to the present campus at Polipathar with 180 students, 5 teachers and 3 office staff on the rolls. And from then on, the school has grown strength to strength in providing quality education in view of providing holistic development of each child who enters into this esteemed institution. At present the school is having 2500 students and 65 teaching and 18 non-teaching staff..  
     
   
  St. Aloysius Senior Secondary School, Polipathar is a minority institution managed by the Catholic Diocese of Jabalpur and administered by the Jabalpur Diocesan Educational Society, a registered body under the Society Registration Act M.P. 1968. St. Aloysius School was founded on 2nd July 2002 during the tenure of Fr. George P.A. And the school got the affiliation from Central Board of Secondary Education {CBSE} during the tenure of Fr. G. Alexander in the year 2008 up to the Secondary level and in the year 2010 up to Senior Secondary Level. .  
  St. Aloysius is an English Medium school for boys and girls with CBSE syllabus up to senior secondary level and provides excellent and quality-based education to the students from all sections of society. The Patron saint of the school is St. Aloysius and the Motto of the school is 'Virtus in Arduo' (Excellence through Hardship). St. Aloysius left an admirable example of obedience and love for everyone to follow so all the Aloysians are constantly reminded of their responsibility to follow their patron saint and form their character by tackling the tough things in life. .  
 
  The School Campus has already been developed with a beautiful building, modern facilities like Computer Lab, Library, Auditorium, Smart Classes, Football, Handball, badminton and Volleyball courts to make sure of the all-around development of the students enrolled in this institution.
